Full Stack Developer · Mobile Game Development · Live Ops
Machine Zone is known for large-scale, real-time mobile strategy games like Game of War, Mobile Strike, and Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire. I worked across front-end and back-end systems, focusing on scalable UI, feature implementation, and live game maintenance for titles with millions of players.
I was responsible for full stack development within a live, large-scale mobile game environment. My work covered everything from in-game features and UI systems to server-side logic, data modeling, and tools used by design and QA teams. I contributed to both new feature development and ongoing content updates, collaborating with engineers, designers, and producers in a high-output environment.

Built APIs and backend services for player data management, inventory, and progression. Implemented server logic for battle calculations, cooldowns, and reward delivery, maintaining uptime and scalability through performance profiling and async task handling.
Developed web-based dashboards for QA and designers to preview and validate live content. Built internal tools to test reward flows, localization strings, and rollout schedules, plus logging systems to catch server issues and abnormal player behavior in real time.
Wrote and maintained unit tests for backend logic and API layers. Coordinated cross-platform testing (iOS/Android) to avoid regressions during rollouts, and helped design A/B testing tools for new mechanics and player incentives.
Working at MZ was one of my most intense and rewarding experiences. I learned to deliver at scale, write maintainable full stack systems, and support a live game ecosystem with millions of concurrent users. The pace was fast, the scope was massive, and the quality bar was high. I'm proud of what I contributed to those live services.
